The Office of Financial Aid annually awards a number of endowed scholarships to enrolled students through the generosity of friends and alumni of the University.
Applications for Private Donor Scholarships are open from October 1st through January 31st annually.
Students who receive scholarships will be notified with necessary instructions pertaining to their scholarships. Keep your grades up as many scholarships are driven by cumulative grade point averages. Selected candidates will be notified by June 2024.
Families should carefully consider the estimated cost of attendance for the academic year. The figures on this page are based on full-time (15 credit hours per semester), undergraduate, freshman students living on campus for the 2024-25 academic year. If you enroll for more than 15 credit hours, your charges will increase. When determining your award package, Lawrence Tech averages actual billable and non-billable charges into a budget.

The Higher education Act of 1965, as amended, requires students to maintain satisfactory progress toward their degree in order to receive financial aid. At Lawrence Technological University, these standards are established for students who are receiving or applying for financial aid from one or more of the various federal, state, or institutional grant, scholarship, work, or loan programs.
The Lawrence Technological University Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy for Financial Aid applies to all students who wish to establish or maintain financial aid eligibility. This policy applies separately to each degree program the student pursues, in its entirety, including semesters in which financial aid was not applied for or disbursed.
Contact the Office of Financial Aid for the FAFSA form to apply for the federal or state financial aid programs — or download the FAFSA application from studentaid.gov.
You can borrow directly from the federal government. You can complete a Master Promissory Note at studentaid.gov .
Personal expenses for room, board, clothing, recreation, laundry, travel, books, and incidentals vary according to individual lifestyle. An estimate for total costs can be made by adding tuition and fees to these items. The Office of Financial Aid can assist students in arriving at these estimates.
No. Guest students are not eligible to receive financial aid.
All students receiving financial aid are expected to maintain satisfactory academic progress. Undergraduate students receiving any type of financial aid must maintain a grade point average of at least 2.0. If this is not met, students stand the chance of losing their financial aid for the next academic year. Students are also expected to make normal progress toward graduation. Those who withdraw from more than one-third of their enrolled courses during the year (two semesters including summer school) do not meet standards of progress. Contact the Office of Financial Aid for information concerning the appeal and renewal procedure when standards of progress are not met.
Financial aid may be reduced or canceled if a student takes less than 12 credit hours per semester. Award amounts for need-based financial aid are based on the number of credit hours attempted and a student’s demonstrated financial need. Students planning to drop all or part of their classes should contact enrollmentservices@aksarayyeralticarsisi.com to discuss any effect on their financial aid awards. For more information on partially or completely withdrawing from classes, visit the Registrar’s web page, or contact enrollmentservices@aksarayyeralticarsisi.com.
PLUS Loan borrowers have the right to cancel their loan disbursements within 14 days of the disbursement notice. Should you decide to cancel the disbursement of your PLUS Loan, you should contact the One Stop Center at enrollmentservices@aksarayyeralticarsisi.com in writing within the specified time period. By canceling the disbursement, you will be responsible for any unpaid tuition and fees, as well as repayment of loan funds already paid to you.
